Although there is no average session we have tried to give you a rough guide to what usualy happens during a session at the studio during a half day session.
30 mins - 1 Hr - (Setup) This is needed to set the equipment up for the recording session. This normally includes mic'ing singers, instruments, drums etc. in preparation to recording. We will also discuss the finer points of the session as we set up. This time varies with the amount of instruments to be recorded.
1 - 2 Hrs - (Recording) This is the moment you get to perform what is going to be recorded. There are many vaired recording techniques all of which will be explained to you in detail prior to the session.
30 mins - 1.5 Hrs (Mixing) This is the moment when all your creative efforts are mixed to bring out the best in your recording. The induvidual instruments, vocals etc. have E.Q., Dynamics Processing and effects applied as necessary.
When your mixes are finished they are digitally mastered to ensure that you receive the highest quality recording possible. You get 1 CDR master as standard. We then deliver the finished CD masters to you.
The Delivery time for your masters is usually 2/3 working days
